The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Gridlock – Why Are You Honking Your Horn?

In managing a very large apartment building, there are a variety of personalities.  The other day, I found myself being “put on the spot in a degrading way based on ASSUMPTION”, by someone who lives a very angry life.  In fact, he needs emotional healing.   Until, he acknowledges where his anger is “really” stemming from and figures it out, he will continue to be this way, which is unfortunate, but we all learn in our own time.  In the meantime, I will remain compassionate towards his issues, as I do daily.

HOWEVER!!  During this, unnecessary degrading expedition he was on, I found myself thinking about the GRIDLOCK we experienced on our holiday last month in Toronto, Ontario.  All we could hear were horns honking!  I thought to myself, “what is the point in honking your horn, when the Police have the intersection blocked off and are rerouting cars in a different direction, plus all vehicles were at a standstill for a very long time.”  Seriously, what I would have done to have a horn to honk during the degrading expedition!!

So I found some humor to get me through his vent session!  We all need to vent every now and then, but sometimes, we need to also remind ourselves, our problems are not always everyone else’s fault!

One thing I will always remind people of, is when you assume, for the most part you will be 100% wrong!  Before you go off on a tangent with an assumption, I feel the relationship which this could be affecting deserves communication first.  A question and answer session!

Assumption = GRIDLOCK!
