The Good Vibes Only Roadshow -A Few Special Friends

I’ve always done this, but more so now than ever, I’ve been thinking a lot about my friends 💞

Friends from my childhood, friends from my young adult days, friends that I’ve worked with in the past, and friends I have now.  I’m grateful there is somewhat of a crossover with my childhood to now, and from my past to now, and even from my career to now, but it doesn’t matter what part of my life my friends came from, I’ve been thinking of them.

I know I’m not alone in thinking about them or the memories they have brought to me; we are all probably finding ourselves walking down this lane.  I’m grateful for the adventure these memories have taken me on.  Plus I’m grateful for being able to still talk to these individuals.

I suppose you could say, “we are making new memories together!”

This last week, I found myself wanting badly to travel to go visit some of these friends, and of course knowing that I couldn’t was a bit difficult.  Before I became to sad or depressed, I decided to research ways of communicating instead of using Messenger or Texting.  Along with the rest of the World, I came across Zoom.  I’m excited to get started with it; part of me is nervous, but for the most part I’m excited.

I miss my friends quite a bit; there are some I haven’t spoken to in many years, but I also know that the minute we start talking it will be like we never stopped.  Those are my “special friends”, the ones where you have that chemistry, the bond, and the utmost respect for each other, that nothing can stand in the way of picking up where you left off.

The old saying (1970’s) used to be, “pick up the phone and reach out and touch somebody”, but now the way I look at it, it wouldn’t surprise me if the saying became, “reach out and Zoom somebody!”  As a kid, the first saying never made much sense to me either, because I couldn’t figure out how you could touch someone through the phone!  Keep in mind, I was only 8 or 9 at that point!! 😂😂 Times are changing!

My message for you today:

Reach out and communicate with those you are missing!  Pick up your phone, try Zoom, text, Messenger, or even FaceTime!  We have options!  Let your friends know you are thinking of them, talk about the good times, and do some walking down memory lane!  Stay connected!  Remind them they are loved, they are needed in your life, and remind them of how much happiness they brought to your life and continue to do so.  Appreciation for your Special Friends!
