We are sure being put through the test!  Do you agree?

Patience is now something we need the most, along with understanding, acceptance, and love.  Gratitude is also a component to handling “lack” of patience; remember, if you remind yourself of what you are grateful for, then you will find your patience will not be so hard to deal with.

Finding the little things to be grateful for, will help your mind escape away from fear, will keep you focused on positive things in your life, and will keep you connected to your family, both near and far.

The unknown is there, it is evident, we are all wondering when things will get back to normal; remind yourself, you are not alone.  This is the first time, in a long time, everyone on this planet is in the same boat!  We are all worried about the same things; health, finances, family, friends, the essential workers, the healthcare workers, the brave men and women who are fighting this battle for us.  We are all thinking of the same things from day to day; will this ever end?

Our patience are narrowing on the unknown, but, we are all together as one and knowing that should give you some comfort.

If you find you are running low on patience, put yourself on a “timeout” and remind yourself, everything is temporary in life, we are all in this together, we are all supporting each other, and we are all going to listen to the warnings and do what we can to help those who are fighting for us, by staying at home.

Find the gratitude again!  This will ease your patience!  Hang in there!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – We Are Making History! We Are All In This Together!

Facebook asks me every morning, “What’s on my mind?”
Then it hit me like a Mack Truck!
AT THE MOMENT, WE ARE ALL MAKING HISTORY!
The World has finally all come together as ONE and are working as a Team with nothing but care and compassion in their Hearts
The enemy in this case is invisible and we NEED each other to fight it off!  In my eyes, this is World War III and we are not fighting each other.
We truly are ONE!
The thought that we are doing this brought tears to my eyes.  The thought of what it took to bring us all together, made me cry even more, but the reality of it is that we were not fighting each other to get us to this point.
It is possible to live in Peace, to actually love each other enough (as we are doing now) to be kind to everyone, and it is possible to live a life where we do not cause pain to another human being or animal!
We are living the proof right now, that we can continue doing so!  Life is precious!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – What Is Great About Today?

What is great about today?  I know it seems odd to try and think of positive things at this time, but we still need to look after our mental health.  We still need to be able to give a smile to everyone who is working hard to look after us; we need to be able to show gratitude and kindness and in order to do so, we need to think positive.  This is the least we can do to those sacrificing themselves.

When I go to the grocery store to buy my essentials, I am going to think of my following list that will bring a smile to my face, which will then “hopefully” bring a smile to the grocery store clerk and those working to provide for us.  When I see a healthcare worker, I will smile so that they know they are appreciated.  When I see anyone who is working in their essential job, they will get a huge, “thank you” for what they are doing.

Here is my list:

MUSIC!!!

That pretty much sums it up 😉😉 Seriously, there is so much more I could add to this list, but I wanted to start with the importance of MUSIC!  It can literally turn a bad mood right around, get you up dancing, and keeping you smiling inside and out!  For me, I’m dancing in my seat while I’m typing this 😉😉 MUSIC has contributed to a great day!

THE SNOW IS FINALLY MELTING!!

One more great thing to add to my list of what is great about today!  No more white stuff, we can now start to see the grass underneath.

TEMPERATURES ARE RISING!!

This is such a great sign!  The warmer it gets, the better it will be for everyone!  From what I have read, and whether or not, it is correct, it is giving me something to look forward too, but this virus (which I refer to as the “v” word) does not like heat!  So I’m praying for a heatwave!

With these three things in mind, I have set the tone for a positive day!

Before you go out for your essentials, please set the tone for a positive day in your mind; you will then spread this “contagious” vibe and those you see will be able to smile again!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Something To Believe In!

We all need something to believe in!  Something to look forward to!

Passion is the key to both!

Since I’ve been at home now for over 2 weeks with my family, my list of goals has become quite long.  Unfortunately, it takes complete devastation in the World for people to figure out that life is short and we need to “go for it” while we can.

I’ve never wanted something so much, as I do now!  It isn’t just for me either, but for my family.  I want more than ever for everyone to have a belief in something; a goal and put all your efforts in too it!  Stay focused on the positive goals and believe in them!

Recently, you will find more and more people not taking for granted the little things anymore.  Like someone making your coffee for you!  Or doing your laundry!  Or making your dinner!  Or simply someone taking the time to truly care about your day!

Those are also things you will see people putting on their “something to believe in” list.  For example, showing gratitude more each day to those who show care for us.  There is nothing wrong with saying, more “thank you’s”.

It could look something like this:

  1. I believe if I show more gratitude to (*name) for constantly doing all those nice things for me on a daily basis, then they will feel happier and so will I.

Something so simple can bring so much more happiness to one’s life, by just saying “thank you”.

That is just an example of how easy it is to have something to believe in.  You can believe in a small dream or a large dream, just as long as you are believing 😊😊

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Keep Spreading The Love

During times of struggle, during times of hurt, and during times of frustration, we need to remind ourselves to “keep spreading the love”.

It is easy, when going through difficult times, to stop “feeling” anything.  In reality, we need to remind ourselves that “love” is what keeps us all together and keeps hurtful situations “temporary”.  When we don’t dive into love, all those negative situations become permanent longer than anything else.

We need to remind ourselves that we are all different and we handle things differently than each other; it’s when we love each other through it, makes all the difference in the World.  We all have feelings that get hurt, or situations that may depress us, but acknowledge the other persons feelings instead of pointing the finger; keep spreading the love, and all things will heal.

The World needs healing and it is time to spread love rather than hate, spread positive vibrations rather than negative gossip, and spread comfort rather than distancing your communication.

Healing begins with Love!  Spread as much as you can!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Eating Healthy

There is so much truth to the fact that we are what we eat; eating healthy is so very important in our lives.

I learned several years ago (16 years to be exact), when I was caring for my Mom who had Cancer, the importance of antioxidants.  At the time, I didn’t know much about the benefits of antioxidants, until I met with my Mom’s Oncologist.  To be honest, when he opened up and shared his knowledge of “you are what you eat”, I found myself in shock, as I was so used to hearing more about the drugs they were trying to feed into my Mom.  For an Oncologist to look outside of the box and share with me something so very important was a true Gift.

He took me aside and told me, “you need to increase your Mom’s antioxidant intake; this will help her immune system.”  We all know, that when going through chemotherapy, not only is it trying to kill the Cancer, but it tends to damage our other healthy cells.  It is up to us, to do what we can from a nutrient perspective to help our bodies heal as well.

He shed so much light on the topic for me; it wasn’t about changing tradition, or disgracing the fact that my parents both ate meat, it was simply trying to give me options to HELP my Mom live longer.

I forgot to mention, during this conversation, my Mom was considered, “terminally” ill and was not given much time to live.  Now I’m not going to say, “why didn’t someone teach me this sooner”, as that is not what this post is about.  This is about sharing how food, can actually help the process of living a better quality of life.

Once I quickly found more information, quickly put together an intense antioxidant diet for her, I brought her home from the hospital knowing the Doctors had only given her 48 hours to live.

To bring some positive into this story, my Mom actually lived an entire month after I started feeding her a high antioxidant diet.  I was able to have more time with her.

After learning more and more over the years, I have found so many different types of food and supplements that help.  We need this more than ever today!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – What Is Your Biggest Dream!

I’ve had a lot of time to think over the past two weeks, and to be honest with you, it is funny how just two weeks can change my entire perspective of my hopes and dreams.

One of my dreams in life is, I’ve always wanted to inspire and to encourage others to find the “positive” in life.  I suppose, watching Oprah, Ellen, and reading a truck load of self-help books, has fueled me with the passion to help others find their own outlet to happiness.

Personally, I feel it takes not just a Village to help others who are struggling, but it takes an entire World to stay on the positive track.

My dreams in life, have changed.  They have changed for the better, as if they are now dreams which are there because of wisdom.  There is so much I’d like to do, and so many I’d like to help.  Over the next while, I will be writing my “dream” list and making sure, that I check off one thing at a time each and every single day.

My dreams are to write more books, to blog more inspiring posts, to eventually travel with the Good Vibes Only Roadshow and meet people who need to share their own story.  My dreams are endless, but they are changing to become more realistic.

We all have dreams; what are some of yours?  Don’t let fear stop you from dreaming.

This experience we are all going through is “temporary”; keep planning, keep dreaming, and keep focusing on a brighter day!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Full Of Creativity

Along with all of you, I’ve taken the past 2 weeks to let everything sink in.  The shock of how quick life can change is slowly going away, but it has left me with a sense of wanting to take this time to grow and to share with you what I’ve learned so far.

Side note:  expect a lot of blog posts from me 😉

I’ve learned that creativity is more than just finding a hobby or project to do, but instead it is essential for mental health.  Finding something that brings a smile to your face is very important; we cannot fall into the trap of fear.

Yes, things are very real out there, but if we listen to what has been suggested to us in staying in our home, then we will be doing our part in ridding our World of this virus.  I feel it is a small sacrifice, in order to save our World.

Okay, so that’s all I want to say about the “v” word, it has temporarily taken over and I’m not going to allow it to do that, especially here on my blog!  So, here is some creative positive options for you, that I’m also going to harness:

Coloring

Painting

Crafting

Changing Old Clothing into something fun (costume)

Sewing

Reading

Journaling

Writing a Novel

Flipping Through an old magazine

Watching sports (all the sports channels are playing reruns)

Get outside in your yard (we still have snow, so we will have to wait another month or so)

Make a To Do list (for once everything gets back to normal)

Clean out the closets

Go through family albums and create a memory book

Scrapbooking

Clean up the garage

Get on-line and watch a free concert

Start talking to family and friends through FaceTime

Create a Favorites List

Plan a Passion List (my name for a bucket list)

Start a group online and enjoy talking about a positive subject

This list is just a list of suggestions; whatever you do, please make sure you do it in your home or in your own yard.

You can also make arrangements with a friend to do all the above with someone on-line.  It’s all about getting creative!  Create an appointment with friends or family to join you in a project!  Hey, great time to start a book club ❤❤

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – In Need Of Warm Weather

This Winter has been different for me; I look at it as a huge test of strength. With temperatures that start at -4 degrees, then crash to -30 degrees in a 12 hour period, at times brings on a bit of a migraine and makes me feel like I want to crawl back into bed.
I force myself to keep going!
I’m a firm believer that even weather is a mindset; in these temperatures, it is easy to fall in too a depression, BUT like anything else, I couldn’t let even weather win!
There was a time I didn’t mind the Winter months but as I gain wisdom (it’s never about getting older) I find myself craving the sunshine, feeling a warm breeze, the smell of tropical flowers, seeing all the beautiful colors, and wearing flip flops every single day.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is real!
THE CURE IS TO GET CREATIVE!
I look at pictures of destinations I dream about, I have my diffuser pumping out lavender and jasmine, I have tropical spa music playing to relax my mind or a happy playlist putting a smile on my face. All this helps! A good old comedy is healing too!
As with anything else, Winter is temporary and for me, just knowing that this too will pass, is something to celebrate!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Don’t Grow Up! It’s A Trap!

Who says we have to buy into age?  What is the true meaning behind, “just act your age”; really what does that look like?  Yes, growing up blesses you with wisdom, but with wisdom wouldn’t you think it should make you feel happy, young, and content?  Knowing you are learning as you go, should bring on a childlike attitude, as you have obviously conquered something and gained from it!

A feeling of relief; you made it through another one of life’s challenges and gained so much from it!  When this happens to me, the feeling of jumping up and down and doing cartwheels comes over me with gratitude!  This may seem immature to some, but to me it is like a rebirth!

I’ve learned over time, that it is okay to feel young even if you are getting older in a number.  I don’t look at growing older as an age; it is truly just a number.  A number of years you are experiencing more wisdom.  Just like in a job interview, when the recruiter is asking you, “how many years experience do you have?”  They don’t ask, “how old were you when you did this, how old were you when you did that?”  Really?  What does it matter?  It is just about a number!  Another way of looking at it, Legends in Sports are always referred to as their number!  Their number gets retired, not their age!

I also refuse to “grow up”, in a stereotypical way.  I have embraced the fact, I will constantly learn something every single day, no matter what number I’m at in my life.  I will not fall into the trap; I want to enjoy every single day learning and welcoming the gifts of life, without the pressure of sticking to this concept of having to know it all by a certain age.

Don’t grow up, it is a trap!  Erase this concept from your mind of knowing it all; instead enjoy your path, enjoy the adventure, and enjoy each day!  No pressure!
