The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Bringing Family Together

Good Afternoon!

I know it’s been a while since I have shared with you any updates; I thought I would start with this one!  Bringing Family Together!

Over the summer, we were test driving our ambition in living in an RV full-time; it was a great experience.  It brought family and friends to our campsite to enjoy each others company.  Relations strengthened and it was a true blessing!

Since, we decided that we would save our RV for recreation for the next 5 years, instead of taking it on the road full-time.  We still have some wisdom to gain in this process, which we have no regrets in admitting.

We have moved into our home, where we have also started having family Sunday dinners again.  Bringing family together once a week, has been the best thing we started to do again.  Our family and friend relationships have grown and strengthened; it has been such a positive experience.

As I was thinking of this blog post, I was thinking of family members who may not see eye-to-eye and hence a wall goes up.  How easy would it be to simply put your differences aside and invite that family member over to share a meal with you.  You do not need to even talk about your differences, but simply share a meal with each other.  Meals are prepared with love and care; the same ingredients which go into relationships of all kinds.  A meal warms the heart!

After sharing a meal, you then feel a sense of satisfaction and comfort, and guess what?  You are enjoying this meal and feeling this way in the comfort of someone you didn’t see eye-to-eye with.  Changes the mood, and makes you think.  Sometimes, we get so upset at the small things, that we don’t take time to think that those small things that have upset us, are really not worth putting a wall between you and this person.  Share that meal!

As a family, we have found ourselves bonding even more with each other, by showing the love in a meal and sharing it with each other.  Please give this suggestion a little try, before you know it, no conversation is needed, there will just be a simple, “I’m sorry” where needed and the healing will begin.  A very simple approach, sometimes is all that is needed.

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Stress and Your Mental Health!

STOP!!!  How many times have you said that in your lifetime, when everything was getting to be too much?  In case you are wondering, it is okay to do so!  Yell it out loud!  You are releasing the hold stress can have on you and your mental health!

When you are feeling the weight of stress, I encourage you to yell and scream, to release the grip!  Once you do this, let the healing begin!😊

When we look at our lives, whether or not it is the people in our lives or our career for example, and they are causing us stress, it is okay to take a much needed break to heal yourself.  We are under the impression, we need to “put up with” the toxic grip people and careers can place on us; NOT TRUE!!  You have a life too!  Take control, say, “STOP!” and take time for you!

For on the job stress, I’d like you to think about this for just a minute – whether it is a person or your career, where is it written you need to be placed under so much stress you can’t breathe, for the positive gain for them?

Once you are done thinking about that; think about this!!  In the work place, it has become a practice for employees to take “health and safety”, “workplace harassment”, and “other miscellaneous, on the job related, get a long with others, etc.” courses as part of the “have too” in order to be employed!  They have done their job in having you take these prerequisites, now take what you have learned from those and let it work for you!

You have more support than you think!

I say, “STOP! To anything that places an “unnecessary” grip on our stress levels!  Enough already!  Live, Love, and Laugh your way through anything or anyone who crosses your path with ill-intentions!  Take hold of your life!  You have options out there!

Live the life you are passionate about!
