The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Love You!

Love – the best 4 letter word you can say!

The word “Love” does not always mean “to fall in love with someone”, but instead I believe Love should start with “falling in love with yourself” first.

You can love so many people, animals, places, food, things, information, and the World itself, but not many people will say, “I love myself” first when asked the question, “what is it that you love?  Who do you love?”

In starting this new year, I decided to start my day off with Affirmations!  You know, the “I Am” process which everyone should do.  That’s just my opinion 😊 I found in starting my day off in a positive way before my feet even hit the floor in the morning, I was loving myself more and more.  I was loving myself from the “inside” which then made my love for the “outside” of myself better.

We are all guilty of being our worst critics, but what about being are greatest supporters?  By supporting yourself and finding the positive in yourself, you in turn starting loving yourself more and more every single day!

I feel it is so very important to Love Yourself!  With so much negativity in the World (which I might add, could all be solved with a good old fashioned “love thy neighbor” workshop), we need to focus on Love.  When you love yourself, you smile more.  When you love yourself, you are more kind to others. When you love yourself, you have a sense of Peace.

There is so much to be grateful for in your life; start by being grateful for yourself!  Start by loving who you are, your thoughts, your dreams, your kindness towards others, and your compassion!  These are just a few areas of your life you can start with, then each day, add one or two more characteristics about yourself that you should and could love.

Share your love for yourself; love is contagious and should be shared!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Bringing Family Together

Good Afternoon!

I know it’s been a while since I have shared with you any updates; I thought I would start with this one!  Bringing Family Together!

Over the summer, we were test driving our ambition in living in an RV full-time; it was a great experience.  It brought family and friends to our campsite to enjoy each others company.  Relations strengthened and it was a true blessing!

Since, we decided that we would save our RV for recreation for the next 5 years, instead of taking it on the road full-time.  We still have some wisdom to gain in this process, which we have no regrets in admitting.

We have moved into our home, where we have also started having family Sunday dinners again.  Bringing family together once a week, has been the best thing we started to do again.  Our family and friend relationships have grown and strengthened; it has been such a positive experience.

As I was thinking of this blog post, I was thinking of family members who may not see eye-to-eye and hence a wall goes up.  How easy would it be to simply put your differences aside and invite that family member over to share a meal with you.  You do not need to even talk about your differences, but simply share a meal with each other.  Meals are prepared with love and care; the same ingredients which go into relationships of all kinds.  A meal warms the heart!

After sharing a meal, you then feel a sense of satisfaction and comfort, and guess what?  You are enjoying this meal and feeling this way in the comfort of someone you didn’t see eye-to-eye with.  Changes the mood, and makes you think.  Sometimes, we get so upset at the small things, that we don’t take time to think that those small things that have upset us, are really not worth putting a wall between you and this person.  Share that meal!

As a family, we have found ourselves bonding even more with each other, by showing the love in a meal and sharing it with each other.  Please give this suggestion a little try, before you know it, no conversation is needed, there will just be a simple, “I’m sorry” where needed and the healing will begin.  A very simple approach, sometimes is all that is needed.

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – I Laugh Too Myself!

Laughter is the Best Medicine!

Life is filled with so much to worry about; I think it is time we start focusing on what there is too laugh about!  We take the time to worry and consume ourselves with the “what ifs”, that we forget just how much more there is in life to smile or laugh at!

We have options to help ourselves laugh!

If you are feeling consumed by worry, take a break and dive into the following:

  • Turn on a comedy
  • Go into your local bookstore and read a joke book
  • Google is everyone’s best-friend, search humor
  • Use your mind and think back to a time where something made you laugh

And if that doesn’t work, and don’t ask me why this tends to make someone laugh, but “picture” someone stubbing their toe!  I’m not one for enjoying someone else’s pain, but for whatever reason, the majority will get at least a little chuckle out of watching a good ol’ toe stubbing.

There are always options to find a good laugh!  Don’t let the negative in!  Learn to laugh at it!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – What Makes You Think?

Every single day, there seems to be a list a mile long, of what makes me think!  The “mile long list” makes me think of one thing that truly is important in life – Happiness!

If it isn’t something that someone says, watching the news on television, reading articles on social media, or hearing the “emergency alerts” go off on my cell phone with the latest missing child, there is always something to make me think.  I find myself thinking about, “what went wrong” in someone’s life, why is there so much negativity, and how can we change the World we live in.

At the end of the day, it is about the lack of happiness in their lives.  After listening to some of their stories; I think some more.

Life, sure knows ways of handing it to us!  It is seeking out the help we need to help us get back to Happiness!  I know at times, it seems hard to even believe that you could find happiness, but in all honesty, I think it is worth a try!

Even though, I’m just one person in this huge World, I’d like to try and help as many people as I possibly can!  Sometimes, it is just sharing a smile with someone hurting, give a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to listen – I’m willing to do this to help someone see there are people who genuinely care.

In, “what makes me think”, I think it is time to help one person at a time.

If you feel blessed, then become a blessing to someone else!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – I Wonder How They Are Doing

How many times have you said to yourself, “I wonder how they are doing?”

What is stopping you from reaching out?  Did you end a friendship on a bad note?  Time heals!  If you are wondering how someone is doing, then pick up the phone!  Yes it is still nice to hear a voice!  Set aside the worry of whether or not your call would be accepted; make it and mend something that had possibly been broken.  Be the person who reaches out to let a person know they are thought of!  That is the Gift!

If they are in your mind, then they are in your heart!  Whether the relationship is good or bad, pick up that phone and let them know how important they are to you!  We need more of this in the World!  Take the time to reach out!

I also know at times, we wonder how our loved ones are doing, who have passed away!  It is nice to believe their spirits are still with us, so why not sit down and write a letter to them?  There is absolutely nothing wrong with writing a letter to someone we have lost; after all  some of the best music is written this way!  This is the best way to heal; you can say everything you need to say to your loved one.  You will receive the gift of their answer in life.  Believe me, when writing to a loved one who has passed away, you will start feeling comforted.  That is the real gift you will receive by getting your thoughts out on paper.

Regardless, if you are wondering how someone is doing, then reach out!  They may need you more than you know.  💖

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Pink Nails

It is funny, what stands out about a person in your mind, after they are gone.

My Mom and her Pink Nails!  I still remember the name of the nail polish; Windsor by Revlon!

In thinking about my Mom, I think about our own children.  Although, they are all in their 20’s now, every chance I get, I remind them how important it is to take note of all the things we may take for granted – even the shape of nails.

This post is about, “living life with no regrets”; take note of everything about the ones you love.

Eventually, and unfortunately, we will all have to say goodbye to those we love; the gift is remembering everything about them.  The sound of their voice, their favorite nail polish color, their favorite foods, their hobbies, and the sound of their laugh.

By taking note of all their qualities, you will be able to share all your memories and characteristics to the future generations of your family.  These things will be so important in teaching new generations about life and where they came from; even the color of someone’s nail polish.

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Soul Brothers

I’d like to take a moment to dedicate this post to my husband and his Baseball Teams.

13 years ago, when our family moved to Sudbury, Ontario, where my husband is from, I was introduced to his love of baseball.  With this love for baseball, came the love for his Team.  I, myself, have played on many teams, and I understand the bond you make with your teammates.  To be honest, you are creating lifelong bonds with each other.  Created based on unconditional support for each other.

I refer to his teammates as my husband’s “soul brothers”.  For the most part, they have become more than just teammates; they are there supporting each others families as well.

For example, the other day, I received a beautiful message from one of my husband’s, “soul brothers”, complimenting me on my two books I’ve written, “In My Closet” and “Lost Soul Obsession”.  The compliment came, out of the blue, as he decided to sit down and read my books.  I wasn’t expecting this message; it warmed my heart and made me think about how important it is to embrace a Team.

I am grateful to be able to see my husband create such fantastic bonds with these men; these men have embraced not only my husband but our family, as well.

There is no other way to express the type of bonds these men have created, other than, “soul brothers”.

When you find, friends in your life who are there for you no matter what, you hang on to them.  Each life will have their own ups and downs, but it is the unconditional support you have created with each other, that will not only help each other through the challenging times, but will extend to help each others families.

Again, I am so grateful to be able to witness such friendships!

If your significant other has a team they belong too, there is nothing wrong with embracing them as well.  You will find comfort, lots of laughter, and support in doing so!

Teammates + Teamwork = A Quality of Life!
